Pentax Rumors：定位於 K-x 及 K-7 之間，Pentax K-5

這個傳言連圖都沒有，所以看看就好。

重要的是，當有人喊出新的傳言時，往往可以拿來審視現有相機產品線的不足，並且了解潛在顧客的期望。

首先來看一下 K-7：

• 機頂 LCD、防水耐候性能的機身
• 專用鋰電池，擁有較長的使用時間
• 視野率 100%，放大率 0.92x
• 最快 1/8000 快門速度
• 對焦小紅點

再看看 K-x 強過 K-7 的部份：

• 高 ISO 雜訊抑制較佳 (或許 K-x 是使用 Sony CMOS 的關係)

簡單來說，如果要做一台機身定位 (規格與價格) 介於 K-x 與 K-7 之間的機身，大概就是意指不要像 K-7 這麼貴，但高 ISO 至少要像 K-x 這麼好，性能規格比 K-x 好一點，大概是要有小紅點還有雙轉輪啦，如果是在價錢與規格的綜合考量之下，傳言中這條介於中間地帶的產品線是有點存在的價值。不過，Hoya Pentax 有沒有必要去顧及這一塊呢？現在還有 Pentax 645D 中片幅機身的新產品線，還不時的有人在哭喊 24x36 全幅的機身，Pentax 用戶的願望怎麼這麼多？一來是舊用戶夠多，大家的需求都不盡相同，二來是懇求 Hoya Pentax 能夠拾起舊時代的精神：追求最佳的 CP 值。

真的要在 K-x、K-7 這兩者之間真的切出一個定位，大概就是 K20D 和 K200D 這類型 Pentax 的停產機身吧。

對某些人來說，機身的樣子跟顏色一點都不重要，性能才是重點，如果不要花成本去研發全新款的機身，而是把舊有的機身略做改良或沿用，而在性能上做出符合「攝影」性能的提升 (不管錄影這件事，有也好沒有也好，不過現在看來以後應該每一家都非有不可)，例如發色的偏向、白平衡準確、暗處對焦提昇、對焦速度持續提昇、對焦小紅點、雙轉輪等等原本讓 Pentax 用戶喜歡的特質。

因此這個 Pentax K-5 的傳言，大概就可以稱做是「呼喚 Pentax 停產機身復活」的祈願文，或者是「拜託出一台比 K-7 便宜但高 ISO 好一點」的請求文吧？

Pentax are working on a new model above the K-x and below the K-7. Technical specification, price and market release is as yet unknown.

Rumoured model name is K-5.
(information comes from sales representative from swedish Pentax distributor).

An image about a camera with K-x technology inside a K200D influenced design - with weather sealing and top LCD - has been floating around on the 'net... If this is true, then what we get is basically a K-x with weather sealing, illuminated AF points in viewfinder (note Mr Ned B, Pentax US, speaking in a recent interview about that Pentax understands this is important for customers), separate RAW-button and optical preview around the shutter release, and most probably a socket for a cable remote. Maybe even mic input for the video?

Personally, I would welcome a true pentaprism viewfinder!

I would guess ready for release at the Photokina show in September, but that feels a bit late and it seems like prototypes are field testing right now since the distributors has got information about Pentax working on this camera, so it can't be that far away.
